Stories about the Gilly family abound in Prospect, Cape Cod, where townsfolk firmly believe the consequences will be dire for those who foolishly refuse to buy the salt produced on their farm. Perhaps Claire Gilly should have tried some herself before, having been spurned by her high school sweetheart, she married wealthy Whit Turner. Claire didn’t care that Whit was first interested in her fiercely independent sister, Jo. But does she care now, when, after years of estrangement, she finds herself back on the farm with Jo…and her husband’s pregnant mistress?
The Gilly Salt Sisters is a bewitching tale in which Tiffany Baker does indeed create magic as alliances change, old loves return…and the power of the salt alters lives forever.

Anything that keeps me up till 11:15 on a work night must be riveting. I couldn't put this book down. The plot was very interesting, the scenery lush. It took a few pages to get into it and I was afraid it would be too dark for me but found in the end it wasn't. I find now that I'm very interested in salt and Cape Cod. I recommend this book.
