Basketball Jones

The bestselling author of Just too Good to Be True presents a scorchingly satisfying tale of living and loving on the down-low—and all of its explosive consequences...

Life’s been good so far for Aldridge James “AJ” Richardson. He’s got an MBA but has never worked a regular job. He lives in a gorgeous town-house in New Orleans and constantly jet-sets around the world. And he’s madly in love with the man of his dreams.

NBA star Dray Jones has little to complain about, what with his hugely successful career and a loving and loyal partner in his life. Ever since AJ tutored Dray in college, the two have been inseparable. Though no one knows just how close they really are... With Dray in the public eye, the need for secrecy has gotten even more urgent, which has put a considerable strain on the couple, though both accept there is no other choice. But things start to go from bad to worse when Dray’s teammates begin to suspect that Dray and Aj are a little “too close” for comfort...To put their doubts to rest, Dray marries the beautiful and ambitious Judi, who knows nothing about Dray’s “other life.” At least at first. But when she learns who truly owns her husband’s heart, there will be hell to pay?

The book was well written - truly a page turner. None of us can dictate matters of the heart. E. Lynn will truly be missed.

TRYING TO RELATE
July 15, 2010

I liked the story line. E. Lynn Harris has a way of explaining strange situations so that his readers can feel compassion for the characters. This method makes some of his most prejudice work likable my many. I actually felt sorry for the two guys. I guess real love can happen through anyone. Two thumbs up for E. Lynn
