It was a disappointment. It was not
"a keeper"

I've read a lot of John LeCarre and always enjoy his work. This story shows how very complex the war against terrorism is and how the innocent can get swept away with the not so innocent. My only wish for this story is that he would have filled it out a bit more. I would have liked more side stories. I was left hanging at the end, wondering what would happen next. That was, of course, his intent. I recommend this book for those who enjoy an espionage novel.

I have read every book that this author has written and have found some of his books outstanding and some down right awful. This book is on the better side of average. Classic Lecarre themes of people overwhelmed by events despite their best intentions. If you are a Lecarre fan, you will enjoy this book. If you are just starting to read him, there are others that I would recommend first.
