A novel from New York Times bestselling author Christopher Rice isn't just a book—it's an event. His books Light Before Day and The Snow Garden have made him the most popular author in ISO’s history. And Blind Fall is his most personal and powerful work to date.
Sgt. John Houck has a debt of honor to repay. As a Marine in Iraq, his moment of weakness led to the maiming of his unit’s brave and beloved Captain Mike Bowers, injured while saving John’s life. Back in the States, John hopes to make amends, but he arrives too late. Mike has been murdered. And John’s only suspect is Alex Martin—the male lover Mike has kept secret.
But John realizes that Alex is innocent, and that the authorites know more about the murder than they’re letting on. Soon he finds his fury at his fallen captain’s homosexuality at war with his duty to avenge Mike’s death—and save Alex’s life in the process. Before long both men are on the hunt for the killer, uncovering the violent secrets of their own pasts and discovering that the bonds of love and loyalty they shared with the captain are equally powerful. A tale of hate, hope and survival, Blind Fall is Rice’s finest achievement.

I heard good things about the works of Mr. Rice, so I opted to pick this one up. I found Blind Fall somewhat engaging, but slow at times. I found only one surprising twist, but otherwise it seemed a bit predictable. On the plus side, there was good character development throughout.

Exciting, fast-paced thriller! C. Rice is an outstanding author. I've enjoyed all his books, and "Blind Fall' is no exception. John and Mike served in the Iraq war together. When John returns home, he follows through with his obligation to Mike as a fellow Marine. John ends up doing some things for Mike that I know I could not do myself. John is as close to a superhero as any real person can be. C. Rice is the son of the famous Anne Rice. However, he has "earned" his place in the writing community, all his own!

reviewed By: Alan Antes, Once again Mr. Rice has shown us his true ability to be a #1 book seller. I agree this book is different from the rest, but on its own it proves that Chris has the literary ability to be one of the best. Blind Falls is an excellent example of Christopher ability to have a wide range of literary greatness. Christopher has shown that he is capable of making a name for himself and putting himself in a category of his own and not following in the footsteps of his mother or father. Excellent job Christopher keep them coming.
