If you loved The Da Vinci Code, you must read Dan Brown’s earlier book, Angels & Demons, which features the first appearance of Harvard professor and Da Vinci Code hero, symbologist Robert Langdon
When a priest is found murdered, branded with a symbol reading “Illuminati,” Langdon is summoned to investigate. He discovers an ancient brotherhood has resurfaced to destroy the Catholic Church—and it plans to detonate a bomb in the Vatican within 24 hours.
Joining forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful scientist, Langdon embarks on a frantic hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs and deserted cathedrals, following a 400-year-old trail toward the long-forgotten Illuminati lair. They’re praying they’ll find it in time....

I really enjoyed Angels & Demons. I read it while on vacation and could not put it down. Kept me guessing until the very end!

I tend to gravitate towards non-fiction but Dan Brown's usage of facts (and believable use of non-facts) combined with action-packed sequences made this book difficult to put down. It made my train commute much shorter and I actually wished for a longer commute while I was reading this book.

After reading "The Da Vince Code" by Dan Brown, I bought "Angles & Demons". The author doesn't disappoint you. This book is a fast read. Again, he fills his book with history, art, and religion.
