If you loved The Da Vinci Code, you must read Dan Brown’s earlier book, Angels & Demons, which features the first appearance of Harvard professor and Da Vinci Code hero, symbologist Robert Langdon
When a priest is found murdered, branded with a symbol reading “Illuminati,” Langdon is summoned to investigate. He discovers an ancient brotherhood has resurfaced to destroy the Catholic Church—and it plans to detonate a bomb in the Vatican within 24 hours.
Joining forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful scientist, Langdon embarks on a frantic hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs and deserted cathedrals, following a 400-year-old trail toward the long-forgotten Illuminati lair. They’re praying they’ll find it in time....

Having read the first book Da Vinci code, this sequel is still fun and exciting. I understand the controversy with the books and peoples irrational fears of conspiracy and terroism, but this is well written, keeps you on edge and fun to read.

I was not able to get to read this "exciting" book until recently at the end of August but wish I did earlier. From the start of the story it begins with a shocking beginning and builds up until you just cannot put the book down to find out what happens after each situation. I enjoyed this book very much and know others would like to read it too.

Once I started reading this book I could not put it down. It was filled with action and romance which makes for a good combination.

The history and the science were interesting. Once the plot got going, it moved fast and kept me reading. He kept me wondering on who the bad guy was until practically the end.

I found the book a little difficult to get into at the beginning, but after that I really enjoyed the story. Even
though it was not a true event, it does make you wonder!!
