While this is a beautifully produced cookbook, as all of Martha Stewart's are, I found it particularly boring. It covers dishes that I already have in many, many other cookbooks, and while I expected that to some extent, I also assumed that Martha would put something special in these recipes. Unfortunately they are all seem to be standard renditions. On the other hand, you don't have many cookbooks I would recommend it.

This has quickly become my "go to" cookbook for all things. Awesome photos, simple yet wonderful recipes. Bless you, Martha!

This is a terrific basic cookbook I appreciate all the regional American
recipes. The photographs are nice, and the recipes are well written. It's an all-
around good book.

This is a good all-purpose cookbook. The photos and recipes highlight all-American fare, in all of its regional glory, and do so quite well. Given her attention to details, the recipes work on the first go-around. And given that the recipes are for fare one takes to a potluck or a barbeque, getting the book before the summer bounty of produce as well as parties was a good thing.
