Jason Peele knows the loneliness of the long-distance runner. At age 16, he seems like the typical teenage guy—flirting with girls, hanging with friends—but it’s only on the track that he feels free. Running his heart out, with his lungs burning, his legs straining, and both the pounding of his pulse and the roar of the crowd ringing in his ears, he can momentarily forget how hard it is to hide his big secret—he might be gay.
But Jason can only run from the truth for so long, and not just because of the homophobes in the locker room. There’s a new guy on the team with a penchant for reading Gandhi and watching La Cage Aux Folles—and in Robin Reardon’s pitch-perfect coming-out story A Secret Edge, he’s going to change Jason’s life.

Good read, couldn't put it down. I didn't like the ending though, it really left me wanting more!! Buying the rest of Robin's books..excellent writer, the books flowed like water.

I enjoyed this book. I read it in one day and the author had me from pretty much the very beginning. Not too intense but not too light either. I thoroughly recommend it.

Not just another coming out story, but a story about what happens once you know. How do you deal with your life, your friends and your family. Jason learns about finding friends and love while being himself. This is a must read for everyone. It would make an easy and fun vacation read.

I was captivated by this story. It was an easy uncomplicated read. I wish they had books like this when I was a teenager. Alas, I'm 50 now and enjoy a good book.
