Pleasant light-hearted reading........

First of all, this book is not "hysterically funny". It does have same humerous moments, but that's an exaggeration in the description above.
What is is however is a good light-hearted easy read. Having read Johnny Diaz's other two books, this book was like meeting an old friend....warm, uncomplicated, friendly, yet deep in it's own way and I certainly will remain a Johnny Diaz fan and look forward to his other books.

I have been reading this whole series and always enjoy them. This book was good but not quite as captivating as the others. Once you got into it, it was well worth the read. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a light, entertaining read.

Pleasant, light read

I've read all of Diaz's books. They are light and enjoyable; I love getting lost in the stories on train/plane rides. This is no different. I feel as if I get to know the small cast of friends and family (characters) more and more with each book. And, living in Boston, and being very familiar with Miami, I have first-hand knowledge of most of the settings included in his books -- an extra bonus.

i could not put this book down i enjoy Jonny Diaz's writing i have read his other two books and enjoyed them very much so i knew i would love this one just as much look foward for a nother book
