Lawrence Schimel
If you’ve read a gay fiction anthology anytime recently, you’ve probably come across the work of Lambda Award winner Lawrence Schimel. Specializing in stories of love and sex with a science-fiction/fantasy twist—with the occasional dollop of horror or Jewish-American culture thrown in for good measure—Schimel is an extremely prolific author and editor. He has edited or co-edited such collections as The Mammoth Book of Gay Erotica, First Person Queer, Kosher Meat, The Future Is Queer, Vacation in Ibiza and more; his own books include His Tongue. A Long Island native and Yale graduate, Schimel lives in Madrid, Spain.
